We had a great time staying here for three nights, and it only took us 29 minutes to drive to Fontanarossa airport!

The location was excellent, around 10-15 minutes walk from Volcano House. And it was also not far from the airport, the center, and the usual cable car and bus. The breakfast was marvellous, excellent with fresh squeezed orange juice and pastries, for instance.
Could not be improved in any way!

The hosts were extraordinary. Antonella and Salvatore were warm and friendly and we felt so much at home there. All the breakfasts were wonderful-- the best we had during our vacation. They were also able to help with our plans to visit Mt. Etna and advised us the best way to travel to the places we wanted to tour. We especially enjoyed returning to their little garden at the end of the day to enjoy a glass of wine and the peace and quiet of the countryside after a hectic day touring Sicily. We definitely recommend Soto Il Vulcano to everyone and would like to return for another trip.

The hosts of this B&B love their job, and their enthusiasm for the region is truly infectious. They could not have been more friendly and helpful. As others have mentioned you will never get a better breakfast. The room is large and comfortable, in a perfect location. and with excellent facilities.
The shower water temperature can be a little unstable, so best to shower when others are not using the facilities.

everything was perfect, favourable location just next door to activities in the area and the open and warm nature of the place and the outskirts of the town, excellent experience.

The room at Sotto Il Vulcano was cozy and comfortable, with a private entrance and a beautiful private garden. We loved the convenience of having a minibar and a private bathroom with a shower. The 24-hour front desk was also a plus.
For us, the tile/marble floors in the room were a bit too cold for our liking. However, some guests may find this feature refreshing during hot summer months.

Antonella and Salve were the perfect hosts; so friendly and obliging. Antonella even lent me her own trainers to go up Etna - she wouldn't let me go up in sandals, which is all I had with me. The breakfasts were full-scale meals, the best we had on our whole Italian trip.
The fact that we had only booked three nights there - would love to have stayed for longer.

Our experience there was amazing! The owners are extremely kind and friendly. They helped us with all kinds of information about the city, Mount Etna and presented us a lot of things about the Sicilian culture - including a typical and delicious breakfast. The room was really nice. Besides, they offered us a discount voucher to visit Etna. We really recommend Sotto Il Vulcano!

The stay I had in Sotto Il Vulcano was probably the most enjoyable and comfortable I have ever had. From the moment I arrived I felt such warmth and friendliness that I felt like a family member rather than a guest. I was dropped to the village by the owners to get a feeling of the area and was given their mobile number if I needed anything. This is surely the hallmark of people who love their job. I got lots of advice on sites to visit, places to eat, location of supermarkets and pharmacies. I would highly recommend that anyone visiting the area should stay there as it was one of the highlights of my trip.
